Is the whitening process permanent?

No whitening process is truly permanent. Over the course of your life, your teeth become stained by food and beverages (especially coffee, red wine, tea, etc) and smoking. You can whiten the stains either professionally or with a touch-up whitener/brightener such as SparkleMax™. SparkleMax™ whitening will last as long as you are actively using the product. Professional whitening can last a short time up to a year depending on the foods and beverages you consume. That’s why we recommend adding SparkleMax™ to your daily regime to extend your professional whitening investment!

What causes the discoloration on my teeth?

The most common causes of tooth discoloration are the food and beverages you consume or if you smoke. Drinks such as tea, coffee, wine and sodas are some of the worst culprits. Other discoloration is caused by Tetracycline staining which generally can’t be solved by professional or touch-up whitening products.

How do whitening systems remove stains?

SparkleMax™ uses a gentle action to whiten your teeth. As the hydrogen peroxide in the gel is broken down, oxygen acts upon the organic deposits on your teeth and oxidizes the deposits into a lighter color. The process makes the overall tooth color closer to the natural unstained tooth color. The structure of the tooth itself remains unchanged.  Whitening systems do not lighten crowns, bridges, bondings, etc.

What about my existing dental work?

SparkleMax™ does not whiten existing dental works such as veneers, crowns, bondings, etc. However if you have had porcelain laminate veneers, you can use SparkleMax™ to lighten the tooth shade on your natural dentition to more closely blend with the teeth you have had restored.

How much SparkleMax™ should I use?

SparkleMax™ is specially formulated to allow you to use it three times per day. Turn the dial on the applicator twice to fill product onto the brush and apply evenly over teeth. Each pen contains a 30 day supply.

What makes SparkleMax™ different?

To get your teeth professionally whitened is a personal decision and should be made between you and your dentist. Once you have had your teeth professionally whitened – use SparkleMax™ to extend your investment!

Are there any side effects?

This product is not meant to diagnose or prevent disease. Do not use if you are allergic to products containing hydrogen peroxide.

In some cases, your teeth may become sensitive while using SparkleMax™. This is common with products containing hydrogen peroxide. Sensitivity will disappear with disuse. Rinse your teeth with water to remove any residual SparkleMax™.

Also, gel that comes in contact with the skin may cause temporary skin irritation and/or whitening. This is common with products containing hydrogen peroxide. Wash hands with soap and water after applying.

Do not useSparkleMax™ if you wear orthodontics. Do not use SparkleMax™ if you are pregnant or lactating. Not recommended for children under the age of 18.

Keep out of reach of children

Consult a dentist before use. Visit your dentist every six months for routine check-ups and cleanings.

Is it safe to whiten my teeth at home?

Over a decade of research indicates whitening teeth with products containing low dose hydrogen peroxide is safe and effective.

How long does the whitening process take?

Most people using SparkleMax™ will see immediate results due to it’s unique formulation. Results can vary depending on the person using the product and how consistent they are with following the usage instructions.

Is SparkleMax™ better than other touch-up whiteners?

The simplest answer is other products do not work as effectively as SparkleMax™. SparkleMax™ is specially formulated to have a higher viscosity allowing it to “stick” to the teeth thus allowing it to work more effectively over time. Many retail whiteners are applied using trays that are not molded to your teeth. The whiteners are not thick enough and leak out of the tray or the tray does not hold the gel in a proper position.
